The 2023 Philippines-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration Summit was Grandly Held in Manila on November 23

The ROC’s Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, together with Chinese National Federation of Industries, Institute for Information Industry, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, and Foundation of Urban Development and Environmental Education went to Manila from November 23 to 24 to participate in the “2023 Philippines-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration Summit,” which was cosponsored with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 240 experts and representatives from enterprises attended the meeting. This summit was physically held again after a three-year hiatus of the Covid-19 Pandemic. On November 23, many important guests were present and delivered speeches, including Mr. Chen Chern-Chyi, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs; Dr. Ceferino S. Rodolf, Undersecretary of the Department of Trade and Industry; Atty. Tomas M. Guno, Board Director of Manila Economic and Cultural Office, Philippine Representative Office in Taiwan; and Mr. Wallace MinnGan Chow, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines. The enterprise representatives are Mr. Clement Yang, Chairman of the Philippines Affair Committee, Chinese National Federation of Indus-tries, who is also the Chairman of the Chinese-Philippine Business Council, CIECA and Mr. George T. Barcelon, President of Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry. At the summit, Mr. Chang Chih-Chiang, Board Director of CIECA was invited to make a presentation on digital infrastructure and future trends in digital parks, sharing Taiwan’s successful experience in the development of current digital technologies and solutions. CIECA is looking forward to holding the 27th Taiwan-Philippine Economic Joint Conference with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Taiwan next year.
