2023 Taiwan Economic and Trade Delegation to Poland and Hungary

To assist Taiwan businessmen in seeking commercial opportunities in the European market, CIECA organized the “2023 Taiwan Economic and Trade Delegation to Poland and Hungary” visiting the two countries from June 17 to 26, 2023. The Honorary Advisor to the Delegation was Mr. Chen Chern-Chyi, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, MOEA; and the Chief Delegate was Mr. Robert Ouyoung, Vice Chairman of CIECA and Chairman of ANKO Food Machine Co., Ltd. A total of 23 representatives from government, public associations and enterprises joined this delegation. While the delegation visited Poland, the “19th Poland-Taiwan Joint Business Council Meeting” was held in Warsaw on June 20. The Meeting was co-chaired by Vice Chairman Robert Ouyoung and Mr. Andrzej Szumowski, Vice President, Polish Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Grzegorz Piechowiak, Secretary of State, Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and Mr. Chen Chern-Chyi, ROC Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, were invited to deliver speeches respectively. During the meeting, Experts from Taiwan and Poland made reports and exchanged views on the topics of “Smart City,” “E-mobility,” and “Hydrogen Energy.” After the meeting, one-on-one business matching meetings were arranged to facilitate finding business opportunities.
