The 30th Joint Economic Cooperation Meeting Between CIECA and FTI Held on December 15, 2022

For promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand, “The 30th Joint Economic Cooperation Meeting Between CIECA and FTI” held on December 15 at the Hua Nan Bank International Convention Center and the video conference was simultaneously held with the Thai side. The Meeting co-chaired by Dr. Pan, Wen-Whe, Chairman of Thailand Committee, CIECA, Taiwan, concurrently the CEO of the United Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., and Mr. Kriengkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Dr. Lee Guann-Jyh, Deputy Director General of Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, Mr. Chanin Khaochan, Deputy Secretary Gen-eral of the Thailand Board of Investment, Dr. Chuang Suo-Hang, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, and Mr. Twekiat Janprajak, Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taiwan were invited to deliver remarks respectively. Businessmen from the industries of information and communication, finance, automobile, energy, and manufacturing came to attend the meeting. More than 80 participants from Taipei and Thai-land were present at the meeting. This year's meeting discussed government promoted New Southbound Policy, the Program for Promoting Six Core Strategic Industries, and Taiwan's Pathway to Net-Zero Emissions in 2050 for the purpose of continuously exploring new business opportunities for cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand. On top of that, the conference topics also included “Electric Vehicle,” “Smart City,” and “Recycling.” CIECA invited Mr. Eric Chiu, Vice President of Tron Energy Technol-ogy Corporation; Mr. Ricky Chung, Sales Director, Sales Department, Special Products Business Group, MiTAC Information Technology Corp.; and Ms. Eva Luo, Senior Vice President, Polyester Industry SSP Division, Far Eastern New Century Corporation as speakers to share experiences with Thai experts.
