The 18th Taiwan-Poland Joint Business Council Meeting Held on December 6, 2022

CIECA and the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG) held the 18th Taiwan-Poland Joint Business Council Meeting and had a video connection with the Polish side at Taipei International Convention Center on December 6, 2022. The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Robert Ouyoung, Vice Chairman, CIECA, Taiwan and Dr. Andrzej Arendarski, Chairman, Polish Chamber of Commerce. Amb. Bob L. J. Chen, Rep. and Head of Office, Taipei Representative Office in Poland, Mr. Cyryl Kozaczewski, Director, Polish Office in Taipei, Mr. William Liu, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, and Mr. Bartłomiej Lewandowski, Head of Unit, Bilateral Economic Relations Unit, Department for Trade and International Cooperation, Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, were invited to deliver opening remarks. More than 100 guests attended the meeting on site and online from both parties. This conference focused on the topic of “Hydrogen/Green Energy/Green Material” and “Medical Technology.” At the beginning, Taiwan side invited Mr. John Yeh, General Manager of Tex Year Europe shared the concept of green economy and green material cooperation strategy followed by a presentation of the methanol powered fuel cell and hydrogen recovery system by Dr. Jacek Gliniak, Chief Engineer, hiPower Green Technology. On the Polish side, Mr. Tomoho Umeda, Chairman, Hydrogen Technology Committee, Polish Chamber of Commerce introduced the Polish energy industry and made an in-depth analysis of Polish hydrogen enterprises. Based upon their respective businesses characteristics and hydrogen energy development trends, both sides shared their views of the possibility for cooperation in hydrogen energy industry. In discussion of medical technology, Taiwan and Poland respectively invited Dr. Shao-Jen Weng, Secretary General and CEO, Healthcare Systems Consortium (HSC) and Dr. Miron Tokarski, CEO, Genomtec served as speakers. They gave briefings and undertook discussions on fast, accurate and affordable medical management and testing needs.
