CIECA Attended the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding Between Lithuanian Confederation of Industrial-ists (LPK) and Taiwan’s CNAIC as well as that of the MOU Between LPK and Taiwan’s CNFI

Mr. Karolis Žemaitis, Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania led a delegation to visit Taiwan in late February, 2023. The delegation included the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK), the Lithuanian Engineering and Technology Industry Association (LINPRA), and a total of more than 30 companies with industrial backgrounds of biotechnology, laser, solar energy, logistics, machinery, engineering, etc. During this visit, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists signed a Memorandum of Understanding respectively with the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC) and the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI). On behalf of CIECA, Secretary General Frank Wu and Director Tito Tang were invited to attend the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC) and Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) at Grand Hyatt Taipei on February 21. Witnessed by Deputy Minister Chern-Chyi C.C. Chen of Economic Affairs, Lithuanian Vice Minister Karolis Žemaitis of Economy & Innovation, Mr. Thomas Wu, Chairman of CNAIC and Mr. Vidmantas Janulevičius, President of LPK signed the MOU for cooperation followed by a luncheon. About 70 representatives of companies and associations from Taiwan and Lithuanian attended the event. The scene was lively. At noon of February 24, Dr. James Chiao, Chairman, Smart Cities Committee of CIECA was invited to attend the “Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) and Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK)” at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. About 40 business representatives from Taiwan and Lithuanian at-tended the event. During the event, Mr. Mark Lin, Vice Chairman of CNAIC, and Mr. Vidmantas Janulevičius, President of LPK signed the MOU. A cocktail party was immediately held after the signing; the atmosphere was warm and harmonious.
