Mr. Bruno Hromy, Representative of Slovak Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei Visited CIECA

Mr. Bruno Hromy, Representative of Slovak Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei and Mr. Miroslav Fašung, Partner of BBH (a well-known law firm in Slovakia) visited CIECA and received by Mr. James Chiao, Chairman of Smart City Committee, CIECA and Mr. Tito Tang, Director of CIECA on November 16, 2023. This is the first ever visit to Taiwan for Mr. Fašung. He was invited to participate in activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Slovak Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei. During the meeting, Representative Hromy mentioned that “Taiwanese manufacturers have made many investments in Slovakia, playing an important role in local economy.” Having been practicing laws for more than 20 years, Mr. Miroslav Fašung specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for local and international clients and joint venture capital projects across multiple sectors and industries, which cover the business of making legal consultations, reviewing transaction documents, and managing negotiation. BBH is a renowned law firm with international influence, specializing in legal consulting services for various industries, such as energy, environment and waste, legal rights in construction and new power distribution, optical fiber networks, etc. During the meeting, the two sides also mentioned about the bidding cases in the field of smart city technology. Mr. Jeremy Yu, Coordinator, Smart City Promotion Team, Taipei Computer Association joined the meeting and introduced the “Smart City Forum and Exhibition in March 2024,” together with the foreign business registration and subsidy measures to attend the above said Forum and Exhibition. The two sides ended the conversation in a harmonious atmosphere.
