Mr. Mike Hung, Vice Chairman of CIECA hosted a welcome luncheon for Mr. Omar De Marchi, First Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina and his son at Grand Hyatt Taipei on November 10, 2023. The two sides reunited again after they had met in Argentina when CIECA launched the 2023 Taiwan Economic and Business Cooperation Mission to Argentina in October, which particularly reflected the deep friendship between Taiwan and Argentina. Several manufacturers that have economic and trade contacts with Argentina were invited to the welcome luncheon. The two sides interacted closely on bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Some Taiwanese manufacturers who had gone to Argentina for inspection suggested that “they have already contacted Argentine manufacturers and will import to Taiwan such competitive products as red wine, frozen seafood, olive oil, etc. to enhance the economic and trade ties between Taiwan and Argentina.”
