New Director of the Belgian Office in Taipei Matthieu Randers Visited with Chairman Kao Chih-Shang of CIECA, on August 25, 2023

Mr. Matthieu Randers, Director of the Belgian Office, Taipei, and Ms. Doris Wu, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Flanders Investment & Trade visited CIECA at 14:30 on August 25, 2023. On behalf of CIECA, Chairman Kao Chih-Shang accompanied by Executive Board Director and Chairman of the Belgian Committee Chin Chi-Yuan exchanged views on future cooperation between Taiwan and Belgium. Director Matthieu Randers shared the relevant policies of the Belgian government such as promoting circular economy, recycling resource, and reducing wastes. He also briefed Belgium's energy developments in nuclear power generation, green building, and offshore wind power technology. Director Randers expressed welcome to the CIECA organized delegation’s forthcoming visit to Belgian at the end of this year and recommended relevant visiting itineraries. Chairman Kao not only shared his experiences and views on food processing with Director Randers but also Director Randers to visit the I-Mei Foods factory. The two sides exchanged views extensively on future cooperation. The atmosphere was lively.
