Mr. Peter Sand, Director of the Trade Council of Denmark in Taipei and Mr. Jeppe Solmer, Director, Asia, Invest in Denmark visited with Secretary General Frank Wu of CIECA on May 15, 2023. They talked about cooperation between the two sides and the agenda for discussion in the future bilateral meeting. At the beginning, Secretary General Wu introduced the mode and results of conducting Taiwan-Denmark bilateral meeting to Mr. Jeppe Solmer and explained that “the 2nd Taiwan-Denmark Economic Cooperation Conference” was held at the end of last March in conjunction with the Smart City Exhibition. The Conference focused on “Green Energy” and “Smart Energy Management (IoT Solutions).” After the conference, the two sides exchanged views and interacted enthusiastically. Regarding the theme of the future Taiwan-Denmark Economic Cooperation Conference, Director Peter Sand and Director Jeppe Solmer mentioned four topics that could be discussed: (1) Food Industry: promoting low-carbon agriculture and Taiwan-Denmark bilateral food certification, (2) Smart Medical: creating digital medical system, (3) Quantum Technology: applying it to semiconductors and chips, (4) Green Energy: using long-term cooperative relationship.
