The 11th Poland-Taiwan Joint Business Council Meeting

The 11th Poland-Taiwan Joint Business Council Meeting was held on October 3, 2013 in Warsaw, Poland. The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. C. Y. Wang, Chairman of Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) and Dr. Andrzej Arendarski, President of Polish Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Jack K. C. Chiang, Representative, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Poland and Mr. Krzysztof Hordyński, Counsellor to the Minister, Ministry of Economy were invited to make greetings at the plenary session.
Several Polish experts, namely Dr. Aleksander Lisowiec, Smart Grid Tele information Systems Department, Tele and Radio Research Institute and Mr. Andrzej Ślączko, Client Relationship Manager, Export Finance Department, National Development Bank, were invited to make presentations on “Smart Grid Research at Tele and Radio Research Institute” and “Governmental Program Financial Support for Exporters” .
Speakers from Taiwan side included Mr. Stanley Wang, Deputy Director General, International Division, Institute for Information Industry; Mr. Michael Chu, Sales Director, Gardenia Industrial Co., Ltd.; Mr. Bob Lai, General Manager, Bos’n International Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Ruey-Jong Shyu, Vice President, Kaori Heat Treatment Co. Ltd.. They were invited to make presentations respectively on “Building on Good Practice-Taiwan's ICT Development Experience”, “Disposable Medical Products”, “Ready to Eat Frozen Vegetable” and “Introducing Green Energy Products”. After the plenary session, participants from both sides attended Business Matching to explore opportunities for business cooperation.
