On 11 June 2026, Ms. Carol Cheng, Board Member of CIECA and Chair of CIECA's Mongolia Committee, who also serves as Chief Operating Officer of TRPMA, accompanied by Director Vian Yeh, Director Muse Wu of Asia-Pacific Department of CIECA, and Specialist Felix Chen, paid a visit to Representative Mr. Tumurbaatar Gankhuyag of the Ulaanbaatar Trade and Economic Representative Office in Taipei. The two sides exchanged views on the arrangements for organizing the 2026 Business Delegation to Mongolia and the 21st Mongolia–Taiwan Joint Business Conference. Chair Cheng introduced the plans for this year's business delegation to Mongolia and Joint Business Conference, which will combine a business conference, industry visits, and networking activities, focusing on biotechnology and healthcare, technology, and tourism to promote industrial cooperation and business matching opportunities between Taiwan and Mongolia. Representative Mr. Tumurbaatar Gankhuyag shared Mongolia's recent economic developments and industrial policies, stressing pharmaceuticals, tourism, and information technology (IT) as key areas for cooperation with Taiwan. The two sides also discussed the agenda setting for the 21st Mongolia–Taiwan Joint Business Council Meeting, the participation of Mongolian government agencies and enterprises, and the arrangements for the delegation visits to local industries. Both parties expressed their hope that continued collaboration would create more concrete opportunities for Taiwan–Mongolia cooperation and further strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations.
