New Opportunities for Taiwan-Israel Economic and Trade Cooperation Create a Win-Win Future for Frontier Tech Startups

On the evening of June 2, 2026, CIECA co-sponsored with the Israel Economic and Trade Mission in Taipei, the Taiwan Israel Chamber of Commerce (TICC), and other organizations to host the "Taiwan-Israel Business Networking Reception" at the Jeffrey D. Schwartz & Na Tang Jewish Community Center (JTCA Taipei) for deepening the collaboration network between Taiwan and Israel in frontier technology sectors. In his opening remarks, CIECA Chairman Joseph Lyu stated “Taipei is bursting with vitality this week due to holding Computex and InnoVEX, making it perfect for exchanges between Taiwan and Israel.” He emphasized that Israel has widely been acclaimed as the "Startup Nation," standing as a beacon of disruptive innovation and entrepreneurial spirit; meanwhile, Taiwan is the "Scale-up Nation," built upon a solid foundation in advanced manufacturing, ICT infrastructure, and hardware integration. “The two countries do not merely complement each other; they empower each other. When Israeli creativity integrates with Taiwanese precision engineering, both sides possess the unique capability to develop the next generation of smart and trusted technologies,” Chairman Lyu further elaborated. During the dinner reception, 10 innovative startups from Israel delivered presentations on-site, showcasing breakthrough solutions across key technology sectors such as AI cooling systems, voice-activated edge computing AI, 3D image sensors, and cybersecurity. The event brought together prominent industry and research leaders from ASUS, UMC, Quanta, as well as the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Academia Sinica. In a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, both sides engaged in profound dialogues regarding supply chain resilience and cross-border technological collaboration.
