2026 Paraguay Meat Promotion & Investment Opportunities Seminar Held : Deepening Industrial Synergy for Mutual Prosperity

Commissioned by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), Taiwan and Central America Trade Office (CA-TO) co-sponsored the 2026 Paraguay Meat Promotion & Investment Opportunities Seminar on May 8, 2026, at Regent Taipei. As a testament to the robust diplomatic ties and the immense potential for bilateral economic cooperation, a high-level Paraguayan delegation led by His Excellency President Santi-ago Peña Palacios was present in the Seminar for further strengthening the industrial ties between the two countries. The strategic core of this event was to construct a long-term and stable platform for business exchange. Witnessed by President Peña and ROC Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung, CIECA Chairman Joseph Lyu and Paraguay’s President of the Federation of Production, Industry and Commerce (FEPRINCO), Enrique Duarte Luraghi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening a new chapter of the cooperation between the industrial and commercial sectors of Taiwan and Paraguay, with a mutual commitment, upon the existing trade foundation, to promoting investment localization and technical transformation. To demonstrate the high-level consensus within the bilateral industry establishment regarding this cooperation, a joint declaration signing ceremony was also held at the event. Approximately 30 prominent representatives from key associations and enterprises from both Taiwan and Paraguay took turns signing the document on stage, collectively expressing their firm support for the MOU and the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.
