CIECA Secretary General Wu Attended the Reception for the Republic Day of India

In order to celebrate the Republic Day of India, India Taipei Association hosted a reception dinner at the Grand Hyatt Taipei on the evening of January 26, 2026. The reception commenced with the opening remarks from Mr. Ninad Deshpande, the newly appointed Director General of the India Taipei Association. In his speech, Mr. Deshpande noted that thanks to the concerted efforts of both governments and industries, India–Taiwan bilateral relations have continued to make steady progress. “India is actively advancing economic and institutional reforms; the future direction of India and Taiwan are highly complementary, laying a solid foundation for long-term cooperation,” Deshpande further added. He expressed confidence that India–Taiwan relations would continue to move forward in a pragmatic and forward-looking manner.
The event also featured remarks by ROC Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Baushuan Ger. Distinguished guests included Trade Representatives, Office of Trade Negotiations, Ms. Jen-Ni Yang; Minister of Labor, Mr. Hung Sun-Han; and Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare, Dr. Lin Ching-Yi. Approximately 300 guests attended the reception, and the atmosphere was warm and engaging.
