Chairman Lyu Received the PTCIC Delegation at CIECA

On January 21, 2026, CIECA’s Chairman Joseph Lyu received a three-member delegation from the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce (PTCIC). The delegation members were Mr. Bartłomiej Dobosz, Chairman; Mr. Michael Chiu, Vice Chairman; and Ms. Agnieszka Sygitowicz, President. Secretary General Frank Wu, Deputy Secretary General Charlie Chiang and Director Tito Tang were also present. Both sides engaged in extensive discussions on furthering Taiwan–Poland economic and trade cooperation. In his remarks, Chairman Lyu recalled that the two organizations formally signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in July 2025, followed by the successful 21st Taiwan-Poland Joint Business Council (JBC) Meeting held in Łódź, Poland, in November of the same year. The conference yielded substantial outcomes, facilitating multiple forms of practical exchange and marking an important milestone in bilateral economic and trade relations. Chairman Lyu expressed his sincere appreciation to PTCIC for its efforts in the preparatory process of that meeting and looked forward to continuing collaboration with PTCIC and the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG) to host the 22nd Taiwan-Poland JBC Meeting in Taiwan this year, with the aim of further expanding bilateral cooperation and promoting economic and trade exchanges. The PTCIC delegation conveyed its heartfelt appreciation for the formal partnership established with CIECA and shared the concrete achievements have been made since the Chamber’s establishment two years ago. To date, approximately 250 Taiwanese delegates have visited Poland, while 150 Polish delegates have visited Taiwan, demonstrating tangible and positive results of the cooperation. Chairman Dobosz emphasized Poland’s strong interest in expanding cooperation with Taiwan in key sectors such as high technology. He noted that Taiwan could serve as an important gateway to the Asian market, while Poland could function as a strategic hub for Taiwan’s entry into the European Union, highlighting the Chairman Lyu presented a commemorative gift to Mr. Bartłomiej Dobosz, Chairman of PTCIC.on the solid foundation, PTCIC would continue to expand Taiwan–Poland business exchanges via close cooperation with the Association in hope of furthering the success achieved at last year’s economic cooperation conference. During the exchange, Chairman Lyu also conveyed the warm regards of Mr. Richard Sung, Chairman of CIECA’s Poland Committee, to the Polish side. The delegation also conveyed greetings from Mr. Michał Jaros, Secretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of Economic Development, and that of Ms. Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of Łódź, which reflected the strong mutual commitment and friendship underpinning the continued bilateral cooperation.
