CIECA and the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG) jointly hosted “the 21st Taiwan–Poland Joint Business Council Meeting”on November 13 in Łódź, Poland. This year’s conference, themed “Advancing Taiwan–Poland Industrial Collaboration”, marked an important milestone in strengthening bilateral friendship and deepening economic cooperation across key industrial value chains.
CIECA Chairman Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu delivered his remarks via a pre-recorded video, in which he highlighted the solid foundation of long-standing Taiwan–Poland cooperation and outlined a clear vision for further enhancing bilateral partnership. Chairman Lyu also expressed sincere appreciation to Ms. Cynthia Kiang, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, and Mr. Michał Jaros, Secretary of State, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, for their presence and support of the meeting. “It is hoped that close collaboration between governments and industry sectors from both countries will elevate Taiwan–Poland cooperation to the next level,” Chairman Lyu emphasized.
The conference was co-chaired by Mr. Michael Chiu, Vice Chairman of Hocheng Group Holding Corp., and Mr. Andrzej Szumowski, Vice President of KIG, and was further brightened by the presence of Ms. Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of Łódź, who delivered remarks to welcome participants.
In the midst of the meeting, the launch of the Taiwan–Poland Partnership Pledge Ceremony was another highlight, in which the representatives of the Taiwanese and Polish business associations present at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to promoting long-term industrial collaboration. Their pledge echoed, in fact, the spirit of partnership underscored in Chairman Lyu’s video address.
