CIECA Chairman Lyu Attended the Poland-Taiwan Economic Forum

On July 1, 2025, CIECA’s Chairman Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu, Secretary General Frank Wu, and Deputy Secretary General Charlie Chiang attended the “Poland-Taiwan Economic Forum” held at Dazhi Denwell in Taipei. The forum opened with remarks from Mr. Cyryl Kozaczewski, Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, and Mr. Andrzej Dycha, President of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). Distinguished guest speakers included Mr. Michał Jaros, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, and Ms. Cynthia Kiang, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of Taiwan. They both highlighted the rapid growth and promising prospects of Taiwan-Poland economic and trade relations in recent years. Chairman Lyu was invited to deliver a speech at the forum, where he shared the CIECA’s significant role and vision in fostering international industrial cooperation. He also joined Ms. Agnieszka Sygitowicz, President of the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce (PTCIC) in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant milestone in bilateral cooperation. Chairman Lyu later moderated a high-level expert panel discussion on the development of Taiwan’s industrial ecosystem and new opportunities for Taiwan-Poland collaboration. Panelists included Mr. Terry Tsao, President of SEMI Taiwan; Mr. Peter Huang, Secretary General of the Taipei Importers and Exporters Association (IEAT); Mr. Eric Hung, Senior Investment Manager of Taiwan CEE Fund; Mr. Michael Chiu, Co-founder of PTCIC; and Mr. Allen Cheng, Secretary General of the organization “Taiwan Eastbound Alliance - Landing America (TEALA).” On that evening, the Polish Office in Taipei hosted a gala dinner at Grand Mayfull Hotel Taipei. Both Chairman Lyu and CIECA’s Honorary Chairman Henry Kao were present. During the dinner, Chairman Lyu received from Secretary of State Michał Jaros a certificate of appreciation, in recognition of CIECA’s outstanding contributions to Taiwan-Poland economic and trade relations. Certificates of appreciation were also given to Mr. Henry Kao, Chairman of I-Mei Foods and Honorary Chairman of CIECA; Mr. Terry Tsao, President of SEMI Taiwan and Executive Director of CIECA; and Mr. Richard Soong, Chairman of Chimei Food and Executive Director of CIECA.
