CIECA Called on President Jeffery Huang of Fair Friend Group, and Visited the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association (TAIROA)

On May 6, 2025, CIECA visited with Mr. Jeffery Huang, President of Machine Tool Business Group of the Fair Friend Group (FFG). CIECA also visited the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association (TAIROA). Both FFG and TAIROA are located in Taichung. During the visits, CIECA exchanged views on international bilateral trade cooperation and the current global economic and trade landscape with President Huang, and explored potential collaboration with TAIROA on international trade and industry exchange initiatives. Since Mr. Jimmy Chu, Chairman of FFG has long served as the chairman of CIECA’s economic committees of Germany, Italy, Turkey and South Korea, President Huang has frequently accompanied Mr. Chu in attending CIECA-sponsored bilateral meetings, and thus strongly recognized the value of these conferences as vital platforms for private-sector economic exchanges. Mr. Huang also analyzed the potential impact of the US reciprocal tariff policy, stating that it might significantly affect investment and expansion plans in manufacturing sectors worldwide, and would thus impact on the orders in the machine tool industry in Taiwan. “In response, FFG is actively adapting to the latest trends and plans to adjust its global strategy accordingly,” President Huang said. TAIROA, a highly potential partner of CIECA, as it holds, too, international industry forums annually and frequently organizes business delegation visits abroad. The Association expressed optimism about further exploring cooperation with CIECA, particularly in areas such as industrial automation, artificial intelligence applications, and bionic robotics.
