Ms. Shinta Kamdani, Chairwoman of Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) led a delegation of 20 persons to visit Taiwan from April 30 to May 3rd, 2025. Mr. Remus Li-Kuo Chen, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs hosted, on Foreign Minister Lin Chia-Lung’s behalf, a luncheon on May 1st. Dr. Charlie Chiang, Deputy Secretary General of CIECA was among the guests. At another dinner hosted by the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC) on May 2nd in honor of APINDO’s delegation, CIECA’s Secretary General Mr. Frank Wu was present. APINDO is the biggest private sector association in Indonesia and the members of which are owners of enterprises and high-level managerial officers. They can influence Indonesia government policies in economic and trade issues. The delegation of APINDO visited Taiwan’s private and public sectors including International Trade Administration, Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, Institute for Information Industry, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Taiwan-Asia Semiconductor Corporation, Hu Lane Associate Inc., Acer, Asus, CTBC group, and the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC). The delegation learned about the current development of Taiwan’s industries and believed that it would help expand the collaboration of trade and investment relations between Indonesia and Taiwan.
