The Drone Supply Chain Committee of the CIECA Launched the First Taiwan-U.S. Cooperation

From May 19 to 22, 2025, Mr. Hu Kai-Hong, Chairman of the Aero-space Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) and Convener of the Drone Supply Chain Committee of CIECA, was invited by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) to lead Dr. Chiang Zhen-Wei, Deputy Secretary General of CIECA and a delegation of more than 60 Taiwanese drone manufacturers to attend the prestigious XPONENTIAL 2025, an exhibition organized by the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) was held in Texas. On May 20, the opening reception for the exhibition was attended by Mr. Raymond Greene, Director of the American Institute in Taiwan's Taipei Office (AIT); Ms. Betsy Shieh, Commercial Section Chief of AIT; Ms. Yvonne Yi-Fang Hsiao, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston; Mr. Wen-Tsan Lu, Deputy Director, Metal Electromechanical Industry Division, Industrial Development Administration, MOEA; and dozens of drone industry professionals. On the same day, the convener of the CIECA’s UAV Industry Committee, Chairman Hu Kai-Hong of AIDC, signed a letter of intent on cooperation with Mr. Michael Robbins, Chairman of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). It was witnessed by Mr. Raymond Greene, Director of the American Institute in Taiwan's Taipei Office (AIT); Ms. Yvonne Yi-Fang Hsiao, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston; and Dr. Chiang Zhen-Wei, Deputy Secretary General of CIECA. Deputy Secretary General Chiang was invited by AIT to be a speaker at the “Taiwan-US UAV Industry Cooperation” forum at this exhibition.
