CIECA and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce held “the 15th Taiwan-Luxembourg Joint Business Council Meeting” at the Grand Hyatt, Taipei on March 17, 2025. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Michael Hung, Chairman, Taiwan-Luxembourg Economic Cooperation Committee, CIECA, and Vice Chairman of Shin Kong Life Insurance and Mr. Robert Goeres, Member of International Commission, Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu, Chairman of CIECA delivered welcome remarks, Ms. Susan Hu, Deputy Director General of International Trade Administration, MOEA and Mr. Lex Kaufhold, Executive Director of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Taipei were invited to deliver remarks respectively.
More than 100 distinguished guests from industries, government, academia and research institutions participated in the meeting, in which discussion focused on “ICT and Data-Driven Economy.” Representatives from Taiwan side included Mr. Mars Kao, Deputy Direct General, CyberSecurity Technology Institute of III (Institute for Information Industry); Mr. Hank Lee, Director, Emerging Business Division, CEO office of Advantech; Ms. Krissy Pai, Vice President of Ubestream; and Mr. Sam Meng, CTO of BIG DATA. Representatives from Luxembourg side included Mr. Ludovic Gilles, Director of Deep; Mr. Evgeny Lykhin, EVP Technology of Artec 3D; and Mr. Chiching Shih, Area manager of Luxcontrol. The two sides’ experts explored how information and communication technology and the data industry can integrate into other fields to provide innovative support services for enterprises.
In the afternoon, a B2B trade meeting was arranged, during which Taiwanese and Luxembourgish companies discussed mutual needs and explored collaboration opportunities. Both sides participated in the event enthusiastically.
