On 17th February, Mr. Gergely Kádár, Representative of the Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei, and Mr. Balázs Szabó, Investment and Trade Director visited CIECA and was received by Chairman Joseph Lyu. During the meeting, they exchanged views on bilateral economic and trade relations between Taiwan and Hungary, also touched upon global economic trends and the development of specific industries of finance, investment, and agriculture.
Representative Kádár noted that Taiwan-Hungary economic and trade exchanges had reached a significant scale, with major Taiwanese companies such as Giant, Sinbon, and Foxconn having made substantial investments in Hungary. “In addition to automotive, biotechnological, and pharmaceutical industries, Hungary has also made progress in the FinTech sector; the Hungarian FinTech Association is planning a visit to Taiwan in November this year,” Director Szabó added.
Chairman Lyu shared his professional insights on finance and expressed his hope for the continued development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and Hungary.
