Mr. Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu, Ex-Chairman of Bank of Taiwan, Was Elected as the Seventh Chairman of CIECA with a High Vote

The 1st Membership Meeting of the 7th Term of CIECA was held at the Hua Nan Bank International Convention Center on December 3, 2024. Since the 6th Term of the Board Di-rectors and Board Supervisors of CIECA had expired, the new 7th Directors and Supervisors of CIECA were elected at this meeting in accordance with the law. Amb. François Chihchung Wu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Chuang Ming-Chih, Chief Secretary of Ministry of Economic Affairs were invited to deliver remarks at this meeting. After their remarks, the 1st Board Directors Meeting of the 7th Term of CIECA was immediately held, electing the executive director, vice chairmen and chairman. The 1st Board of Supervisors Meeting of the 7th Term of CIECA was also held to elect the standing supervisors and convener of the Board of Supervisors. During the meetings, Mr. Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu, Ex-Chairman, Bank of Taiwan, was elected as chairman. Mr. Walter H.C. Chang, Mr. Clement Yang, Mr. Mike Hung and Mr. Chu Chih-Yaung as Vice Chairmen, Ms. Lillian Chu as Convener of Board of Supervisors.

Members of CIECA enthusiastically attended the 1st Membership Meeting of the 7th Term of the Organization on December 3, 2024. The meeting went smoothly.

On December 6, 2024, the 6th term of CIECA Chairman, Mr. Henry Chih-Shang Kao (right), officially handed over the seal to the newly-elected Chairman of the 7th term of CIECA, Mr. Joseph Jye-Cherng Lyu (left), which was witnessed by Ms. Lillian Chu (middle), Convener of Board of Supervisors, CIECA. As of that day, CIECA entered a new phase.
