The Taiwanese delegation to attend “the 2024 Joint Conference of the New Zealand-Taiwan & Taiwan-New Zealand Business Councils” visited Auckland and Wellington from October 19 to 26, 2024. The delegation was headed by Mr. Tung Kuo-Yu, Chairman of the 2024 Joint Conference of Taiwan and New Zealand Business Councils (CIECA), with 35 members from the fields of medicine, agriculture, information communications, food, trade, law, etc. This is the first time for CIECA to organize a delegation to visit New Zealand after the pandemic of COVID 19. On October 24, the meeting was held at NTT Tower at 2:00 p.m. in Wellington, which was co-chaired by Mr. Tung Kuo-Yu, advisor of CIECA and Chairman of the 2024 Joint Conference of Taiwan and New Zealand Business Councils, and Mr. Charles Finny, Chairman of New Zealand-Taiwan Business Council. About 60 people from both sides were present at the meeting. The event focused on “Digital and Green Transformation,” “Smart Agriculture and Food Tech,” “Smart Medical and Bio-tech,” as well as “New Zealand-Taiwan Collaboration.” The attendees conducted in-depth ex-changes with New Zealand companies for exploring cooperation opportunities. The delegation’s itinerary in New Zealand was rich and varied. On October 21, the delegation visited UniServices, the Health Lab, Song Kee Gardens, OfficeMax, and at-tended TW-NZ Networking Event and Welcome Dinner by TBANZ. On October 22, the delegation visited the Dairy Goat Co-Operative and Karihome Farm from October 23 to 25, the delegation visited GNS Science Gracefield Site, AROTEC Diagnostics, Wellington Creative HQ, and New Zealand FTN Motion. Through the visit of the said establishments, the delegation learned more about New Zealand's leading pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology industry, innovative R&D base, the latest technologies in green transformation, and the development of food channels.

”The 2024 Joint Conference of the New Zealand-Taiwan & Taiwan-New Zealand Business Councils” was successfully held on October 24 at NTT Tower in Wellington. Ms. Joanne Ou, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New Zealand also attended the meeting and delivered a speech in support of more Taiwan-New Zealand non-governmental economic cooperation.
