CIECA held “The 20th Taiwan-Poland Joint Business Council Meeting" at the Taipei International Convention Center on the afternoon of September 3, 2024. The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Robert Ouyoung, Chairman of Taiwan-Poland Economic Cooperation Committee & Vice Chairman, CIECA and Mr. Andrzej Szumowski, Director of Foreign Relations Department, Polish Chamber of Commerce, KIG. Ms. Susan Chi-Chuan Hu, Deputy Director General of International Trade Administration, MOEA; Mr. Cyryl Kozaczewski, Representative, Polish Office in Taipei; and Mr. Andrzej Dycha, Chairman of the Board, Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) were invited as distinguished guests to deliver speeches. This Meeting was co-organized by the International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI Taiwan), the Polish Investment & Trade Agency (PAIH) and the AI on Chip Taiwan Alliance (AITA). It attracted more than 80 people from both Taiwan and Poland. Some thirty government officials and industry representatives from Poland and fifty five from Taiwan were pre-sent.
The theme of this Meeting was “Enterprise Advancements and Emerging Technologies: Develop Sustain-able Semiconductor Supply Chains and Future-Ready Industrial Parks.” Participants had in-depth discussion on the latest trends and cooperation opportunities between the two countries in semiconductor supply chain and high-tech industrial park construction. A total of 10 experts and scholars from both sides were invited to give speeches, including Mr. Ray Yang, Consulting Director, Industry, Science and Technology International Strategy Center, ITRI; Mr. Marcin Fabianowicz, CEO, Semicon Supply Poland; Mr. James Wang, President, eYs3D Microelectronics, Co.; Ms. Agnieszka Sygitowicz, President, Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Ms. Anita Chen, Chief of International Affairs, Startup Terrace Tai-wan; Ms. Agnieszka Dorota Sobieszek, Deputy Director of Investor Acquisition and Service, Łódź Special Economic Zone; Ms. Joanna Gasek, Deputy Director, Investment Department, Pomeranian Special Economic Zone; Mr. Johnny SY Chuang, CEO, Accordance Systems Inc.; Mr. Charlie Chang, CEO, Ally Logistic Property; and Mr. Chungwei Su, Principal, JJP Architects & Planners. The meeting also arranged for Polish manufacturers such as Małolepszy Group, a smart agricultural machinery company; Dentons, an international law firm; and Colliers, a commercial real estate services company to make business introductions and hold business ex-changes. The two sides interacted with each other lively.
