Mr. Henry Chih-Shang Kao, Chairman of CIECA, hosted a farewell luncheon for H.E. Ambassador Oscar Adolfo Padilla Lam of Guatemala at the 21st floor of the Regent Hotel on August 26. Ambassador Oscar Adolfo Padilla Lam took up his posting in Taiwan in November 2022. Before that, he served as Guatemala’s Consul General in Vancouver, Canada, Consul General in Phoenix, the United States, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Immigration Affairs and other important positions. During his tour of duty in the ROC, Ambassador Oscar Adolfo Padilla Lam spared no effort to promote an all-out bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and Guatemala. Guests of honor at the luncheon included Mr. Walter H.C. Chang, Vice Chairman of CIECA and Chairman, Holmsgreen Holdings Co., Ltd.; Mr. Mike Hung, Vice Chairman of CIECA and President of Mike Hung Products Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Frank Wu, Secretary General of CIECA. During the luncheon, the guests exchanged views with the Ambassador on high tech industries and how to promote Guatemala's export products. Ambassador Padilla hoped that CIECA would continue to support the new Ambassador who will be taking office soon.
