Experts from the Metal Industry Research & Development Centre Visited CIECA on July 11

On July 11, 2024, Mr. Tito Tang, Director of CIECA, met with three industrial analysts--Mr. Daniel Lee, Ms. Cindy Tsai, and Mr. Leo Chang--from the Industrial Research Section, Planning & Promotion Department, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC). Encountering the rapidly changing domestic economic environment, the MIRDC is considering the overall needs for Taiwan’s industrial development, focusing on setting industry goals and development strategies for those key industries. In order to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan's metal industry in the international market, the center has adopted a proactive strategy to establish friendly relations with public associations in various fields and enhance mutual interactions. During this meeting, the two parties had discussion on introducing foreign industrial cluster technology into Taiwan, promoting technology transfer through international bilateral economic and trade cooperation platform, carrying out in Taiwan the testing of technology transfer, and improving local R&D capacity to further upgrade and optimize the local industry.
