The 24th Taiwan-Belgium Economic Cooperation Conference Held on June 3

The 24th Taiwan-Belgium Joint Business Council Meeting was grandly held at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Hotel Taipei on June 3, 2024. The meeting was organized by CIECA and three Belgian counterparts--Hub Brussels, Wallonia Ex-port and Investment Agency (AWEX), Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT). The Conference was also sponsored by Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) with the aim of exploring new opportunities for technological innovation and bilateral cooperation. The said meeting focused on “ICT Innovation” and was co-chaired by Dr. Chin Chi-Yuan, Chairman of Taiwan-Belgium Economic Cooperation Committee (Chairman of Silicon Touch Technology Inc.) and Mr. Philippe Lachapelle, AWEX Director of Technical Partnerships and Networks of Innovation. Mr. Hsiao Chen-Huan, Economic Counsellor of International Trade Administration, MOEA and Mr. Matthieu Branders, Director of Belgian Office in Taipei were invited to deliver greeting remarks respectively. Important experts and business representatives from Taiwan and Belgium were invited to give speeches and share their views. More than 90 people registered.
