Taiwan Economic and Trade Delegation Visited the Netherlands and Switzerland from May 10 to 19

CIECA organized the “2024 Taiwan Economic & Trade Delegation to Netherlands & Switzerland,” from May 10 to May 19, 2024. Mr. Walter H.C. Chang, Vice Chairman of CIECA and Chairman of Holmsgreen Group, served as the Chief Delegate to the Netherlands. Mr. Peter Chang, Board Director of CIECA and Chairman of e-formula Technologies, Inc., served as Chief Delegate to Switzerland. Ms. Meg Lin, CEO of Taiwan Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Partnership, served as the Deputy Head of Delegation to the Netherlands and Switzerland. A total of 18 representatives from the government, public associations and enterprises joined the delegation. CIECA and the Netherlands Wind Energy Export Association (HHWE) co-hosted “the 28th Taiwan-Netherlands Joint Business Council Meeting” on May 15. The Meeting focused on “Wind Hydrogen Combination” and was co-chaired by Mr. Walter H.C. Chang, Vice Chairman of CIECA and Chairman of Holmsgreen Group and Mr. Arjen Schutten, Managing Director of Holland Home of Wind Energy. Ms. Laisy Deng, Business Development Coordinator Taiwan & South Korea, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Ms. Hsin Hsin Chen, Representative of Taipei Representative Office in the Netherlands were invited to deliver remarks. The delegation to the Netherlands also visited local hydrogen energy-related manufacturers, such as SALD, a company that develops and applies atomic layer deposition films. The said delegation participated in the world's largest hydrogen energy event - the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition to observe the latest hydrogen energy technologies from various countries and communicate with manufacturers and units from various countries. CIECA and Swiss Hydrogen Association (Hydropole) co-hosted “the 5th Taiwan-Switzerland Joint Business Council Meeting & Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Forum” on May 16. The Meeting focused on the topic of “Hydrogen and Fuel Cell.” The said meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Peter Chang, Board Director of CIECA (Chairman of e-formula Technologies, Inc.) and Dr. Andreas Züttel, President of Swiss Hydrogen Association. Mr. Alain Graf, Senior Consultant APAC of Switzerland Global Enterprise and Dr. David W.F. Huang, Representative of Taipei Cultural and Economic Delegation were invited to deliver remarks respectively. During the meeting, CIECA also facilitated the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Taiwan Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Partnership and Swiss Hydrogen Association, which was witnessed by official representatives of both Taiwan and Switzerland. It is hoped to add new momentum to the cooperation in the hydrogen energy industry between Taiwan and Switzerland. The delegation’s visit in Switzerland was assisted by the Swiss Hydrogen Energy Association and the Economic Division, Taipei Cultural and Economic Delegation in Switzerland. The said delegation visited the EPFL, Gaznat, Gruyère Hydrogen Power, and GRZ Technologies to under-stand the research and application of hydrogen energy in Switzerland.
