The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Kitts and Nevis coordinated and facilitated the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) and St. Kitts & Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SKNCIC). On January 24, 2014, Mr. David Lake, outgoing President of SKNCIC, signed the Agreement with CIECA under the witness of H.E. Tsao, Li-jey, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Kitts and Nevis, Mr. Damion Hobson, incoming President and Mr. Calvin Cable, Executive Director of the Chamber during a meeting. Then in early February 2014, Mr. Wang, Chung-Yu, Chairman of CIECA finished the signing of the said Agreement in Taipei.
This is the first MOU signed between the business communities of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and St. Kitts and Nevis, which marks an important milestone in the overall substantive relations between the two diplomatic allies of more than 30 years.
