The 14th Malaysia-Taiwan Joint Economic Conference

The 14th Malaysia-Taiwan Joint Economic Conference was held on December 9, 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Meeting was co-chaired by Datuk Syed Ali Alattas, President, National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCIM), and Mr. C. Y. Wang, Chairman of Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA). More than 120 participants from Taiwan and Malaysia attended the meeting. Datuk Ir.Hj. Hamim Samuri, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, was invited to give a special address as guest of honor. He urges that SMEs in Malaysia could learn product design and brand development through business collaborations with SMEs in Taiwan. To make the resumption of the Joint Meeting after 13-year interval, Chairman C. Y. Wang and Dato’ Haji Mohamad Alayuddin Che Hassan, Vice President of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCIM), signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the meeting.
