The 12th Session of the Taiwan-Czech Joint Business Council

The 12th Session of the Taiwan-Czech Joint Business Council was held on November 26, 2013 in Taipei. The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Fred Huang, Vice Chairman of Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) and Mr. Jaroslav Hanák, President of Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. Mr. John Lai, Director General, Department of International Cooperation and Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Milan Hovorka, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic were invited to make greetings at the plenary session.

Dr. Frank L. Chen, General Director of International Center, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Dr. Jiri Krechl, Director of R&D Support Department, CzechInvest were invited to deliver presentations on “Industrial Technology Innovation in Taiwan” and “Support of R&D in the Czech Republic on National and International Level”.

During the Panel Discussion, Mr. Fred Huang, Vice Chairman Huang of CIECA, invited Dr. Vladimír Kebo, Dr. Frank Chen and Dr. Jiri Krechl, to share comments on how Taiwan and Czech can cooperate together on technology innovation.

After the plenary session, participants from both sides attended Business Matching to explore opportunities for business cooperation.
